WHAT IS BEASY 4MG SACHET?

Beasy is a leukotriene inhibitor. Leukotrienes are chemicals your body releases when you breathe in an allergen (such as pollen). These chemicals cause swelling in your lungs and tightening of the muscles around your airways, which can result in asthma symptoms.

WHAT ARE THE USES OF BEASY 4MG SACHET?

• Beasy is used to prevent asthma attacks in adults and children as young as 12 months old. Beasy is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm in adults and children who are at least 6 years old.
• Beasy is also used to treat symptoms of year-round (perennial) allergies in adults and children who are at least 6 months old. It is also used to treat symptoms of seasonal allergies in adults and children who are at least 2 years old.
• Beasy is also used to prevent exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (narrowing of the air passages in the lungs) in adults and teenagers who are at least 15 years old and are not already taking this medicine for other conditions.

• Beasy بالغوں اور 12 ماہ سے کم عمر کے بچوں میں دمہ کے حملوں کو روکنے کے لیے استعمال کیا جاتا ہے۔ Beasy کا استعمال بالغوں اور کم از کم 6 سال کی عمر کے بچوں میں ورزش سے ہونے والے برونکاسپازم کو روکنے کے لیے بھی کیا جاتا ہے۔
• بیسی کا استعمال بالغوں اور کم از کم 6 ماہ کی عمر کے بچوں میں سال بھر کی الرجی کی علامات کے علاج کے لیے بھی کیا جاتا ہے۔ یہ بالغوں اور کم از کم 2 سال کی عمر کے بچوں میں موسمی الرجی کی علامات کے علاج کے لیے بھی استعمال ہوتا ہے۔
• Beasy کا استعمال ورزش کی وجہ سے ہونے والی bronchoconstriction (پھیپھڑوں میں ہوا کے راستے کا تنگ ہونا) کو روکنے کے لیے بھی کیا جاتا ہے بالغوں اور نوعمروں میں جن کی عمر کم از کم 15 سال ہے اور وہ پہلے سے ہی دوسری حالتوں کے لیے یہ دوا نہیں لے رہے ہیں۔

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF BEASY 4MG SACHET?

• unusual changes in mood or behavior;
• skin rash, bruising, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness;
• ear pain, swelling, or warmth; or
• severe skin reaction--fever, sore throat, swelling in your face or tongue, burning in your eyes, skin pain, followed by a red or purple skin rash that spreads (especially in the face or upper body) and causes blistering and peeling.
• stomach pain, diarrhea;
• fever or other flu symptoms;
• cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sinus pain, cough, sore throat;
• headache; or
• bed-wetting or loss of bladder control in children.

WHEN NOT TO USE BEASY 4MG SACHET?

Hypersensitivity to Beasy sodium or to any of the excipients of Beasy.

WHAT ARE THE PRECAUTIONS OF BEASY 4MG SACHET?

• Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor
• The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to treatment.
• If you are using the chewable SACHETs, chew them thoroughly before swallowing. 
• If you are taking this medication for asthma or for both asthma and allergies, take your dose in the evening.
• If you are taking montelukast to prevent only allergies, take your dose either in the morning or the evening.
• If you are taking this medication to prevent breathing problems during exercise, take your dose at least 2 hours before exercise. 
• The chewable SACHETs may contain aspartame. If you have phenylketonuria(PKU) or any other condition that requires you to limit/avoid aspartame (or phenylalanine) in your diet, ask your doctor or pharmacist about using this medication safely.

WHAT ARE THE INTERACTIONS BEASY 4MG SACHET?

• The area under the plasma concentration-time curve (AUC) for Beasy was decreased approximately 40% in subjects with co-administration of phenobarbital.
• Co-administration of itraconazole, a strong CYP 3A4 inhibitor, with gemfibrozil and Beasy did not further increase the systemic exposure of Beasy.

WHAT IS THE DOSE OF BEASY 4MG SACHET?

One sachet should daily to be taken in the evening. It should be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal.
