BETAGENIC OINTMENT 15GM:
Betagenic ointment 15gm belongs to class topical anti-inflammatory and is comprises of Betamethasone/gentamicin. Betagenic ointment inhibits the growth of bacteria that cause infections and reduce the redness, swelling, and itchiness due to infections.
USES:
Betagenic ointment 15gm is used to treat a variety of skin conditions (e.g., eczema, dermatitis, allergies, rash). It reduces the swelling, itching, and redness that can occur in these types of conditions.

SIDE EFFECTS:
Betagenic ointment 15gm may cause burning, Itching, Irritation, Dryness, Folliculitis, Hypopigmentation,Allergic contact dermatitis. Other side effects include numbness of fingers, skin cracking/tightening, secondary infection (infection occurring other than the primary infection), skin atrophy (skin degeneration), malaria, telangiectasia (small, widened blood vessels), cushingoid changes (changes due to excess of cortisol related medicine/agent), adrenal suppression, and allergies.
WHEN NOT TO USE:
Betagenic ointment 15gm is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. here are no known disease contraindications.
PRECAUTIONS:
Betagenic ointment 15gm have following precautions:
- It is for external use only. Check the label before use.
- It should be applied only in the affected area.
- If by accident, it goes into eyes or mouth, wash it with water immediately.
- Do not apply large amounts of this medication, use it more often, or use it for longer than prescribed.
- This medicine should be used with extreme caution in long-term therapy in pregnancy or infants. Patients that have a large area of damaged skin should stay cautious while using this medication.
INTERACTIONS:
Betagenic ointment 15gm has no interactions found. If, other corticosteroids such as prednisolone is taken with mouth, then co-administration of both may cause problem.
DOSE:
Betagenic ointment 15gm is applied twice or thrice daily as per recommendation of doctor.
