WHAT IS BLOKIUM 100MG TABLET?
Blokium 100mg Tablet helps treat high blood pressure. It prevents strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Blokium 100mg Tablets are among the most effective treatments for hypertension (high blood pressure) and arrhythmias (uneven heartbeats). This Tablet is sometimes is used in conjunction with other medicines to treat high blood pressure or hypertension. Blokium 100mg Tablet also protects the heart in the beginning treatment after a heart attack (myocardial infarction).
WHAT ARE THE USES OF BLOKIUM 100MG TABLET?
This medication is used in the management of hypertension (high blood pressure), cardiac dysrhythmias (problem with the rate or rhythm of your heartbeat caused by changes in your heart's normal sequence of electrical impulses). Treatment of myocardial infarction (heart attack).
Primary prevention of Coronary heart disease in men between 40-55 years of age, with hyperlipidemias (blood has lipids) unresponsive to diet.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF BLOKIUM 100MG TABLET?
Some patients might experience bradycardia (slow heart rate), dry eyes, rash, fatigue or altered blood sugar levels. If you experience any of these conditions please consult your doctor.
GI upset, skin rashes, impotence, headache, dizziness, painful extremities, myalgia (pain in muscles), blurred vision, eczema, vertigo, fatigue. Myopathy (myopathy), Rhabdomyolysis (damaged skeletal muscles), cholelithiasis (formation of gallstones). Consult your doctor before.
WHEN NOT TO USE BLOKIUM 100MG TABLET?
Please consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you have any of these conditions; 2nd or 3rd degree AV block without pacemaker (heart disorder) or severe bradycardia (low heart rate)
Liver dysfunction, gallstones, alcoholism, severe kidney impairment. Consult your doctor before.
This medication is contraindicated in pregnancy.
WHAT ARE THE PRECAUTIONS OF BLOKIUM 100MG TABLET?
Please consult your doctor as a precaution before taking this medicine if you have 1st degree AV block (heart disorder), heart failure ,peripheral arterial circulatory disdorder (blood circulation disorder) or diabetes.
Check lipid profile, blood count and liver function tests before treatment. Check blood counts every 2 months during first 12 months of treatment. Monitor serum lipids periodically. Check eyes annually. Discontinue if persistent liver function occurs. Mild to moderate kidney impairment. Control hypothyroidism and diabetes. Consult your doctor for further assistance.
WHAT ARE THE INTERACTIONS BLOKIUM 100MG TABLET?
In particular, tell your doctor if you are taking any of the following medicines: • Clonidine (for high blood pressure or migraine). If you are taking clonidine and Tenoret together, do not stop taking clonidine unless your doctor tells you to do so. If you have to stop taking clonidine, your doctor will give you careful instructions about how to do it. • Verapamil, diltiazem and nifedipine (for high blood pressure or chest pain). • Disopyramide or amiodarone (for an uneven heart beat). • Digoxin (for heart problems). Adrenaline, also known as epinephrine (a medicine that stimulates the heart). • Baclofen (a medicine used for muscle relaxation). • Ibuprofen or indometacin (for pain and inflammation). • Insulin or medicines that you take by mouth for diabetes. • Lithium (for certain mental illnesses). • Medicines to treat nose or sinus congestion or other cold remedies (including those you can buy in the pharmacy). • Betaxolol, carteolol, levobunolol and timolol (eye drops for glaucoma).
WHAT IS THE DOSE OF BLOKIUM 100MG TABLET?
Blokium; 50-100 mg once a day. However, dosage must be adjusted according to the response. BLOKIUM DIU; 1 tablet daily. This medicine should be taken with food.
