BRACIN 0.3% EYE DROPS
Bracin (tobramycin) 0.3% is a sterile topical ophthalmic aminoglycoside antibiotic formulation prepared specifically for topical therapy of external ophthalmic infections.
USES:
Eye infections in adults and children.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Common side effects of Bracin includes, Eye burning, Stinging, Irritation, Itching, Tearing, Redness, Discomfort, Sensitivity of the eyes to light, or Eyelid itching/swelling. Administration of eye drops may cause temporary vision problems including blurred vision.
PRECAUTIONS:
- Do not use longer than you have been told. A second infection may happen.
- Cross-sensitivity to other aminoglycoside antibiotics may occur; if hypersensitivity develops with this product, discontinue use and institute appropriate therapy.
- Patients should be advised not to wear contact lenses if they have signs and symptoms of ocular infections.
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on getting pregnant. You will need to talk about the benefits and risks of using Bracin (tobramycin eye drops) while you are pregnant.
WHEN NOT TO USE:
Bracin (tobramycin ophthalmic ointment) 0.3 % is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of its components.
INTERACTIONS:
If you are using another kind of eye medication (e.g., drops or ointments), wait at least 5 to 10 minutes before applying other medications. Use eye drops before eye ointments to allow the eye drops to enter the eye.
DOSE:
Use the drops twice a day for seven days, unless you have been told otherwise by your doctor.
