LAXOBERON 7.5MG/ML SYRUP
Laxoberon Liquid 7.5mg ml 120ml which contains lactulose with other sugars eg, galactose and lactose, is used in the treatment of constipation and hepatic encephalopathy. Lactulose is a disaccharide, a sugar molecule composed of 2 smaller sugar molecules bonded together, in this case, fructose and galactose.
What are the uses of LAXOBERON 7.5MG/ML SYRUP?
Laxoberon is used to provide relief from constipation (difficulty in passing stools). It is also used (in combination with magnesium oxide and anhydrous citric acid) to empty the bowel before the colonoscopy (internal examination of the colon to check for cancers or other abnormalities).

How to utilize LAXOBERON 7.5MG/ML SYRUP?
Laxoberon is to be administered orally with or without food. Take/Administer this medicine exactly as instructed by the doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts than prescribed/advised.
What is the daily dosage of LAXOBERON 7.5MG/ML SYRUP?
Each dose should be taken in or with a full glass (8 ounces) or more of cold water or fruit juice. This will provide enough liquid for the laxative to work properly. A second glass of water or juice by itself is often recommended with each dose for the best effect and to avoid side effects.
Laxoberon Liquid 7.5mg is usually given twice each day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Ideally, these times are 10–12 hours apart, for example, sometime between 7 and 8 am, and between 7 and 8 pm.
When are LAXOBERON 7.5MG/ML SYRUP prescribed?
This medication is used to treat occasional constipation. Some medications and conditions can make constipation more likely. Stool softeners such as docusate are often the first method used for preventing and treating this type of constipation. It may be dangerous to give too much sodium Pico sulfate. Too much sodium Pico sulfate can cause stomach pain (cramps), diarrhea (runny poo), and may lead to dehydration if too many stools (poo) are passed.
What are the Side Effects of LAXOBERON 7.5MG/ML SYRUP?
The patients administered with this medicine may experience gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, dry mouth, thirst, fatigue, and sleeping disorders.
What are the precautions for using LAXOBERON 7.5MG/ML SYRUP?
Before using Laxoberon Liquid, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over-the-counter products (e.g. vitamins, herbal supplements, etc.), allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions (e.g. pregnancy, upcoming surgery, etc.). Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert. Dosage is based on your condition. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Important counseling points are listed below.
- Avoid excessive use
- Do not drive or operate machinery
- Do not take this drug on a daily basis for more than 5 days
- Do not use, if you have withdrawal symptoms of alcohol or benzodiazepine drugs
- Pregnant or planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
Do not use laxoberon if
Hypersensitivity to Laxoberon Liquid is a contraindication. In addition, Laxoberon Liquid should not be used if you have the following conditions:
- Children aged below 10 years
- The first trimester of pregnancy
- Intestinal obstruction
